A Holistic Approach to Implementating Enterprise Application Software

Thanks to Jessica Hagy I can actually see how the Change works - not very fast.
Reading Alan Greenspan’s book “The Age of Turbulence” I found an interesting observation on the rate of change human being seem to adopt.
“…in economies with cutting-edge technologies, people, on average, seem unable to increase their output per hour at better than 3 percent a year over a protracted period. That is apparently the maximum rate at which human innovation can move standards of living forward. We are apparently not smart enough to do better.”
Considering the source, I am sure it is a very well thought thru observation and I would love to learn how did Mr. Greenspan come with this number. From practical perspective we should consider negative effect our continuous talk about “revolutionary” IT innovations creates on business people ability to adopt the change. Conventional means of Change Management are often limited to PR, internal communications, and corporate event management which are not effective enough and explain low rates of adoption. It is my believe that Change Management has to be ingrained into every step of Organizational Transformation strategy, design, implementation, adoption and compliance management to produce desired ROI.
